Possible ways to link unit 3 into Movement skills:

  • Describe different actions that require you to land.

  • Demonstrate the ability to link a sequence of movements focusing on how we land e.g. jump over the hurdles then hop around the cones.

  • Perform a number of actions that require a soft landing.

  • Demonstrate/describe weight transfer from one foot to another during dodging movements.

  • Create a sequence of static/dynamic balance movements for your partner to mirror.

  • Run (skip/jump/hop) to a set number of cones, dodging around other students.

  • Describe key features to maintain good balance in a range of movements.

  • Morph from one balance shape (letter/number) to another using as few movements as possible.
