Possible ways to link unit 1 into Regular physical activity:

 

  • Can identify which activities they find enjoyable.

  • Perform a variety of different movements when prompted – hopping, skipping, marching.

  • Awareness of obstacles that are introduced in activities – hopping around cones, balancing on beam.

  • Understand specific instructions for activities – keeping inside the cones

  • Participating in a range of different games within unit 1

  • Identifying why they enjoy the game or activity

  • Identifying why playing the games in unit one are good for their wellbeing, such as keep fit, fresh air, build strength, feel happy
