Possible ways to link unit 1 into Regular physical activity:

Can identify which activities they find enjoyable.

Perform a variety of different movements when prompted – hopping, skipping, marching.

Awareness of obstacles that are introduced in activities – hopping around cones, balancing on beam.

Understand specific instructions for activities – keeping inside the cones

Participating in a range of different games within unit 1

Identifying why they enjoy the game or activity

Identifying why playing the games in unit one are good for their wellbeing, such as keep fit, fresh air, build strength, feel happy
