Variations:

-Change the size of the playing space.

-Have 2 Ogers in the middle to work together.

-Change the way that you move: hop, jump, skip.

-Have obstacles on the way to the Oger: a balance beam, hurdles or spots to jump on.

-When you get a piece of treasure you must demonstrate 5 throws and catches to self, if you drop it you have to put the treasure back.

 

Classroom Links:

-Each piece of treasure is worth 5 (whatever you are working on in maths), count the treasure at the end of the game.

 

- Play this game before a writing lesson.

- Brainstorm relevant descriptive words as a class.

- Individually, recount the game and describe how it feels:

a) when you get tagged by the Oger.

b) when you tag someone (if you are the Oger).

c) when you successfully get a piece of treasure.
